For this piece, I focused on creating a conversation between men and women’s shoes. Using handmade onion paper and corn paper, I began my process by taking red earthenware clay and creating sculptural clay feet. I then molded my paper over these feet to give me the base and shape for my shoes. The onion paper came off smoothly but I had to cut the corn paper off the men’s feet. Then I glued the bottom and tops together.
